About Acids
Acids Co., Ltd. was established in February 2003 through joint investment by Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Dowa Mining Co., Ltd. (currently Dowa Holdings Co., Ltd.) as a company selling sulfuric acid.
The two companies’ current sulfuric acid production sites are Akita Zinc Co., Ltd. (Akita) for East Japan and Sumitomo Metal Mining’s Toyo Smelter and Refinery for West Japan (Ehime). Since its founding, Acids Co., Ltd. has supplied sulfuric acid produced by these sites to our customers, leveraging the technologies and knowledge accumulated by the two companies over their long histories.
Going forward, we will continue our contribution to society through the safe and stable supply of high-quality sulfuric acid.
Corporate Philosophy
We will build on the efforts and knowledge of our ancestors who contributed to society by overcoming the environmental problems and succeeding in supplying sulfuric acid a fundamental chemical essential to industrial development and aim to grow together with industry by ensuring the safe and stable supply of sulfuric acid to our customers.

3. Compliance with laws and rules, and fair trading practices
- Comply with laws, rules and procedures in Japan and other countries as well as social norms. Even if there seems to be some advantage for the company, there must be no violations.
- Comply with competition law and engage in sales and purchasing activities based on fair and free competition.
- Resolutely reject antisocial forces and have no connection with them.
4. Practice of governance
- Create and operate a framework for governing business activities with a high sense of ethics and act conscientiously, distinguishing between public and private matters.
- Do not treat anyone internally reporting illegal or improper behavior, such as corruption, bribery or abuse of superior position, in a disadvantageous manner.

- Be thorough in making preparations against major disasters as well as implementing risk management and crisis management.
- Strictly manage information assets such as management information and personal information.
6. Respect for the individual
- Accepting diversity and respecting human dignity and rights, avoid human rights violations or discriminatory acts, or acts that contribute to such violations.
- Do not engage in illegal or improper acts such as forced labor, inhumane treatment, or harassment.
